Underwater Photos taken in Jeffreys Bay and St. Francis Bay
These are some of the photos taken and dive logs written mostly by myself or Jacques Alberts who operated in Jeffreys Bay under the African Waters Scuba brand since 2011. Jacques introduced me to SCUBA diving, and taught me everthing about diving. I include these photos and stories here, so that you can get an idea of what it looks like underwater in our area.
We had a full boat on Saturday morning, with some divers coming through from Port Elizabeth to test our waters. We dived Kraal and there was lots to see as always. A young octopus was very inquisitive and allowed us to get very close and we managed to get some nice photo shots.
Preparations for Sunday's diving started early as we prepared for another awesome day of diving. Ocean Divers International from Port Elizabeth came to dive with us on our awesome, untouched reefs and our mission was to rename the reefs as the names I had given them were found, how should I put it, boring?
The wind kept on blowing lightly overnight, and Sunday morning we were greeted by a glassy ocean with a very light offshore wind. The water temperature did not change much, but boy were we in for a surprise and I really feel sorry for those who did not show up for the dive. You really missed out on this one!
